OKFITT is a performance-driven fitness apparel brand built for athletes and everyday movers across Canada. The founder came to OpalWave with a clear vision: a premium e-commerce experience that felt as sharp as the product itself. Generic Shopify themes weren't going to cut it. The brand needed something custom-built, fast, and built to scale.

What Was Built

‍

OpalWave designed and developed a full headless commerce architecture — Webflow on the front, Shopify Storefront API on the back. Smootify handles the product sync layer, keeping inventory and variants in perfect alignment between the two platforms. Swiper.js drives the carousel-heavy product UI, and every interaction was engineered with mobile-first performance in mind. The result is a storefront that loads fast, feels premium, and converts. Full product catalog with size and colour variant support, a custom cart experience, and a seamless Shopify-powered checkout were all delivered as part of the core build.

Key Achievements

‍

Delivered a fully headless commerce architecture without sacrificing the visual flexibility of Webflow. Integrated Google Merchant Center for product feed visibility and resolved a duplicate account conflict in the Shopify-GMC pipeline that was blocking product listings. Built a structured data layer using LD+JSON markup to strengthen organic search performance. Completed a full production audit covering alt text, ARIA labels, and heading hierarchy. OKFITT launched with a production-ready storefront that performs like a custom-coded build — without the overhead or the ongoing dev dependency.
